How energy efficient is West Oxfordshire property?

EPC2Almost 40% of the UK’s energy consumption and carbon emissions come from the way our buildings are heated and used. Even comparatively small changes in energy performance and the way a building is used will have a significant effect in reducing energy consumption. Legislation directs that every property marketed for sale or for rent must have a valid Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). These are valid for 10 years and look like this:

Last year 1,849 EPC surveys were completed in West Oxfordshire (January-December) and just 3 properties achieved the highest ‘A’ grade. From 1st April 2018, a domestic private rented sector property will be deemed substandard if the EPC rating is F or G, unless an exemption applies. This will preclude a tenancy from being created or renewed for properties identified as below this minimum standard.
